Phil 310: Socrates and the Sophists

This course examines the intellectual developments and pedagogical practices in fifth-century Greece, especially in Athens, associated with the Sophists and Socrates through analysis of a range of ancient texts about these figures and their influences on ancient (and modern) culture and politics.
