Admission to the Graduate School
Graduate Accelerator Programs
Students who do not meet the minimum requirements for entry into select programs may be admitted into the Graduate Accelerator Programs in the Nondegree III category for conditional admission to the University of Mississippi.
Nondegree III – International applicants who will be enrolled in a Graduate Accelerator Program and have a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution with an earned grade point average of at least 2.5 may be admitted to this category. A student in this category may not register for thesis or dissertation hours. Applicants must meet the English language proficiency requirements established for admission to a Graduate Accelerator Program given below. Nondegree III students who later are admitted to a degree program may apply a maximum of 12 hours of courses taken in this category to the degree.

To be admitted to a Graduate Accelerator, applicants must submit the following to Ole Miss International:
- Official or officially certified transcripts and degree certificates
- Evidence of achieving a minimum of a 2.50 cumulative post-secondary grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
- English proficiency test score. A score, no older than two years from the date of application, of one of the following tests that meets the indicated minimum must be submitted to Ole Miss International:

- Applicants who submit any of the above tests with scores below the standards listed above can still be admitted to the Graduate Accelerator programs and conditionally to the degree program provided that they achieve the needed English proficiency prior to starting the Accelerator via the Intensive English Program as a Pre-Sessional English student.

The School of Engineering will waive the requirement of the GRE examination for all international students that successfully complete either the one or two semester Master’s Accelerator Program as designed and implemented by the School of Engineering.
Students who complete the MAP and enter a degree program with a waived GRE score must submit a GRE score in conjunction with any application for admission to Ph.D. programs at the University of Mississippi.
