Students will learn about needs assessment, research methods, approaches to data, and principles of program assessment or evaluation. The learning outcomes for this course are:
-Learn about and discuss the political and ethical climate surrounding assessment and evaluation (e.g., Guba & Lincoln, 1982; Hanushek & Ettema, 2017; Whitehurst, 2014) -Analyze simulated assessment data to report and interpret results -Develop the ability to design a program assessment/evaluation
