Edhe 657: Comparative Higher Education

Introduce students to the various systems of international higher education. The historical and cultural foundations of international systems are examined, as well as salient issues such as funding models, governance structure, and student life.
Course requires international travel. The course is intended to introduce students to international systems of higher education and is designed to enable the student to identify, analyze, and synthesize key dimensions of such systems. This course involves a student abroad experience and may be repeated once for credit if travel is to a different country.
