B.A. in Theatre Arts
Description
The B.A. in theatre arts is a generalist degree program that allows students to study and train in many different aspects of the theatre, includingmstage management, performance, direction, design, and film. The B.A. degree is designed for students who want to teach on either the secondary or college level, to pursue a graduate degree in one of theatreís academic areas (history, literature, criticism), or to pursue a career in directing or film production.

Course Requirements
A major in theatre arts for the B.A. degree requires 38 hours of theatre arts courses, including Thea 120, 271, 272, 321, 322, 326, 327, 338, 339, 499, and 16 hours of theatre electives. Eight (8) hours of dance courses may be counted toward the major, with no more than 4 hours from dance technique courses (Danc 151-154, Danc 251-255, Danc 351-355, Danc 451-455).
Other Academic Requirements
A grade of C or higher is required on all theatre courses applied toward the major.
