B.S. in Clinical Laboratory Science(2+2)
Description
The B.S. in clinical laboratory science degree (a 2 + 2 program with The University of Mississippi Medical Center) prepares an individual for technical and management positions in hospitals and laboratories, research in biomedical companies, forensic medicine, public health, sales and marketing, private consulting, health-care administration, and education. The program prepares graduates for national credentialing examinations.

Course Requirements
The first phase of the B.S. in clinical sciences consists of 58 semester hours in academic residence in the College of Liberal Arts with a 2.5 minimum GPA. The second phase is in a professional program such as the Clinical Laboratory Sciences program offered at The University of Mississippi Medical Center and includes lectures, laboratories, and clinical rotations in selected hospitals. Courses to be completed at the Oxford campus which are specific prerequisites for the programs at UMMC only are as follows:
